Dr. Dorothy Collins
Instructor
Dr. Dorothy Collins has more than 25 years of diverse teaching experience. Over the course of her career in teaching in higher education administration, she has taught, education, student success, college success, and student development courses. She brings extensive experience in teaching and strengthening the classroom experience and engagement.
Dr. Collins earned her PhD in Leadership for Higher Education from Capella University as well as a Master of Science in Education and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Youngstown State University (YSU).

This course is designed to help potential students improve their decision-making skills on attending a college or university as well as to help them make a preliminary major and/ or career choice based on information learned about themselves and the world of work. Students learn about career choices, personal values, interest values, skill values, and work values. Students will gain greater knowledge and understanding of themselves through the use of several personality and career assessment tools that will be used.
